S.Thanikaikarasan graduated his doctoral program in the Alagappa University and obtained his Ph.D on 2010. He has worked as Associate Professor in PSN College of Engineering and Technology on 2010 and continued service upto 2016. He has successfully completed two major R & D projects with an worth of amount Rupees 50 Lakhs (Rs.50,00,000 ) sponsored by BRNS-DAE, BARC, Mumbai, India. He has keen interest in the area of Materials Chemistry, Materials Physics, Electrochemistry, Solar cells, Semiconducting, Magnetic thin films and Nanomaterials. He has guided M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D students in the area of specialization of thin films, solar cells and nanomaterials. In his area of specialization he has published 140 (h-index:21; i 10 index: 45 citations: 1400) articles in International peer reviewed journals and 110 papers in international and national conferences. He is working now as Associate Professor/HoD, Department of Physical Sciences, Saveetha School of Engineering, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
He has completed as a roled of Guest Editor in special issue in Journal of New Material for Electro Chemical Systems, IIETA Publishers, Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, (Canada) and Advances in Transition Metal Dichalcogenides, Advances in Materials, Science PG Publishers, USA.
