Prof. Dr. M. Muthuvinayagam, is a material scientist experienced in preparation, development and characterization of polymer electrolytes for the use in various electrochemical devices. The novelty of his research is the successful invention of highly adhesive polymer membranes, environmentally friendly polymer electrolytes and techniques in the fabrication of green electrochemical devices. His area of interest is materials science, energy storage devices and solar cells. Prof Dr. M. Muthuvinayagam is well recognized in his field, internationally and locally, evidenced by the many international and national publications and awards he has received. He has presented his research works in many Indian Institutes and abroad. He received the best performance award in research and academics. He is a life-time of ISTE. He has served as a Visiting faculty and delivered his research talk in UAE, Malaysia and many Indian reputed institutes. He has served as visiting researcher in University of Malaya & University Malaysia Terenggannu, Malaysia. He has guided and guiding many ph.d. scholars.. He has 18 years of academic experience and authored for four books. He has served as Head of the Department of Physics in Kalasalingam University, India. He has started B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil. courses. He was academic council member and Board of Studies Chairman, Department Research Committee Chairman. He has good experience in NAAC, UGC and NBA activities. In addition to academic and Research, He has served as NCC Officer for eight years after completing three NCC Officer’s training in Nagpur and Roorkee, India. Through NCC, he has motivated many NCC cadets for RDC, New Delhi and produced Officers in defence services. He has performed many social service activities, trekking expeditions and cycle expeditions.
