Hello & welcome! My name is Kelly McKeeman and I have  held various positions within Santa Ana Unified School District since 2008. I taught science at Villa Fundamental Intermediate for 6 years, as well as a CTE: Careers in Education class! I've also coached MANY intramural sports, lead clubs, and mentored students throughout that time. I truly enjoy getting to know my students beyond the classroom. I was very involved at Villa and was also part of the OC Grip program, Emergency First Aid team, Ambassadors of Compassion program, Professional Development team,  and Instruction & Learning Team. This year will be my  seventh year at Santa Ana High School (go Saints!) & I will be teaching Environmental Science, Child Development 107, and an advanced Child Development Professional Internship course. I'm extremely proud to be part of the Saints family!

After graduating from Foothill High School, in 2005, I went to Santa Ana College & obtained my Associate's degree. I transferred to California State University, Fullerton for my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies & teaching credentials. I attended Brandman University for my Master's degree in Teaching & Learning. I am a Microsoft and Google certified teacher, and also have certifications in Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and First Aid & CPR instruction/certification. I have a HUGE passion for all things science and am proud to be a member of the PK-12 Teacher Workgroup for Environmental and Climate Change Literacy Projects (ECCLPs). In this role, I support the creation and implementation of effective state programs and initiatives addressing climate and environmental education, justice, and action.

Fun facts: I LOVE to travel and have been to many different countries. Cooking, gardening, and reading are some of my favorite things to do at home. My favorite food is Mexican food. I also survive on morning coffee & positive attitudes! I enjoy the outdoors and nature- especially with my dog, Jax. I also enjoy reading, fitness and maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle.  <3
