This one trimester course includes the basic fundamentals of musicianship, theory, musical materials, harmony, analysis, composition, basic terminology, basic keyboard training, ear-training and sight-singing procedures. It also integrates interval studies and identification with simple melodic and harmonic dictation.  A basic knowledge of the piano keyboard being able to read standard western notation systems are recommended for success in this course.
