Special Services

Hi my name is Lisa Brown,  and I’m in my 30th year of teaching. I’ve been a special educator for my whole career, and I also do academic evaluations for the Conway School District.

This is Oliver Winston, my Boston Terrier, and we love to go for walks and hikes. He has lots of energy, so he insists we go daily! I have two great kids. My daughter is in her first year of college in Boston, and my son is a sophomore at Kennett High School. Cooking, working out at the gym and working on my fixer-upper house are my other hobbies.

My name is Jessica Bussiere and I have been working in SAU 9 since 2004. I started my teaching adventure in Bartlett, working as a paraprofessional. I then transitioned to Conway El. where I worked as a Speech Language Assistant (SLA) for many years before coming to John Fuller School, working in the same role as an SLA. Over the years, with a drive to support and help children as much as possible (and with some encouragement from colleagues), I became a Special Education Teacher. I love this position, because I am able to support students in their learning, advocate for their needs, as well as encourage each child to work outside of their comfort zones to grow and learn. I have had the opportunity to work with students throughout the district, ages Pre-K to 8th grade.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Ithaca College, and became a Special Education Teacher, taking graduate classes at Granite State College. I enjoy being near any type of water, especially the ocean! I always love paddling around in a canoe or kayak, spending time with my family and baking up some sweet confections in the kitchen.

Beth Cole, Special Educator: certified in General Special Education and Specific Learning Disabilities K-12.

Graduated from James Madison University, Summa cum laude 1987 with a degree in Mental Retardation, Specific Learning Disabilities and a minor in English.

Thirty four year ago I moved from my home in Baltimore to explore the beauties of New England and teach a class of seventh to twelfth grade students with developmental delays at Kennett High School in a little town called Conway, NH. My plan was to spend a few years here and then perhaps move closer to my family. However, I fell in love… with my students, the friends I met here, the Mount Washington Valley and my husband. I have worked at the high school, the middle school, Conway Elementary, and for the past eight years at John Fuller Elementary. I have been blessed to work with so many amazing educators, students and families over the years. I continue to learn every day how to be a better teacher and a better person.

I have three wonderful sons who, like my husband and I, love biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and making music. One is an athletic trainer in Denver, one is a recently graduated music educator, and one is studying engineering at the University of Vermont. I have spent the last twenty-five years trying to keep up with them.

When not teaching and being a Mom, I love the beach and exploring the mountains.

Hello! My name is Mary Hanson and I am an Occupational Therapist at John Fuller Elementary School. We moved to the Mount Washington Valley from Pennsylvania in 2004 and I am in my 18th year working at this wonderful school! I also work at schools in SAU 9 and SAU 13. My family consists of my husband Jeff, my two sons Jack and Sam, and my daughter Sophie. We have 2 crazy cats and a sweet, fluffy yellow dog named Charlie. When I’m not working, I love to go hiking, trail running and cross country skiing. I also love to swim in the many beautiful rivers and lakes in our area.

I have always felt very lucky to be a part of this wonderful John Fuller family!

Hi I’m Katrina Zalenski. I'm excited to join the K/1 team. This is my first year at John Fuller but I have worked in education for the past 20 years. First I was a middle school Spanish teacher then I became a K-6 Special Education teacher.

I grew up in southern NH. After I graduated high school I decided to travel the world. I’ve been to over 10 countries! I moved to the Mt Washington Valley 10 years ago. My 2 daughters also attend John Fuller. We love to be outside. When we aren’t in school we enjoy mt biking, hiking, camping, skiing and swimming.
