NDPC Trauma-skilled Specialist Program
NDPC Trauma-skilled Specialist Program
In our district one school (Bud Carlson Academy) is finishing their process of being certified as a Trauma-skilled school with the NDPC this spring. Staff at the school as well as 6 staff members at SHS will be completing their specialist training as well.
Trauma-Skilled Specialist Certification is founded on NDPC’s Trauma-Skilled Schools Model, a research-based guide for structuring school climate, modifying instructional practices, and imparting educator skills to improve achievement and graduation outcomes for trauma impacted and adversely stressed students.
