Dear Parents,
This year your students and I have been using several different online websites to further our educational learning. I am writing this letter to provide some of this information for you to explore outside of school. Please feel free to contact me at any time at saucier.d@sau54.org if you have questions about this. Once you find these sites, it may be easier to mark them as favorites for you and your children to find easily later.
Mr. Saucier’s website:
Yes, I have a website, this is a website hosted through Google where I have many resources from nightly homework, class schedules, upcoming events, and websites with games for math and spelling words. You can get to this website in two ways:
1. Going directly to the site: https://sites.google.com/sau54.org/mrsauciers4thgradeers/home
2. Go to www.rochesterschools.com, next look for our schools, then elementary schools, and East Rochester School. Once on the ERS website, you can go to contacts and look for my name and you will see a link to the website.
Google and Clever:
Every Rochester student has a google log in account. We use this to do research and make document, slides, google classroom, google meets, etc. Students can log into their google accounts using their google log in.
Clever: This is a sign on system that allows students to access different online programs, log in and it will save their log in information to make for faster access to our educational programs. We use this to access most of our online programs. When logged into google students can look for the blue C in a box in the upper right section of their google page to go to clever.com click log in as student, search for East Rochester and log in with their google account. Please email if you have questions, we do this on a daily basis in class.
Clever has been used to set up all of our sites for reading, google, I-ready math, IXL, and other programs. Students should use this to access their online accounts if using their school Chromebook, if at home you can set up and save the passwords on your home computer.
I-Ready Math Online:
This year our district continues to be using the online version of I-Ready for math. There is a great student section on this website that we will use in school and students can use outside of school as well, they can log in through clever for this.
Reading Amplify/ Boost:
Our CKLA reading program also had an online component called Boost. Students access through the clever app Amplify an then click on Boost, this will give them leveled activities to complete.
IXL: We also use IXL on a regular basis which targets specific areas students need to work.
Attached is a card with the log in’s I have up to this point. If we begin to use others, I will let you know.
Thanks,
Mr. Saucier
