Environmental Science is a unique, outdoor learning opportunity at Hollis Primary School. Throughout the school year our hands-on, seasonally themed environmental science lessons get students outside, exploring, and connecting with the natural world around them. Whether it’s observing fall leaves, investigating animal tracks in the snow, planting in spring, or even building a stick fort to play in ....our students love to discover nature with curiosity and excitement.
Our evolving environmental science lessons align with the NH Next Generation Science Standards and compliment many of the topics covered by classroom teachers within the different grade levels. Environmental Science helps build a strong foundation for our students' understanding the natural world ...even more importantly, students begin to see how their everyday choices can make a real difference for our planet.
Please reach out with any questions about our program ...and keep an eye out for volunteer opportunities throughout the year!
