To begin the process of joining the Adult Diploma Program, you should make an appointment with your school counselor to discuss your interest in the Adult Diploma Program. You must be at least 16 to begin this program and students who are not yet 18 must have a parent's permission.
After meeting with your school counselor, you will then meet with the Director of Graduation Pathways. Parents and guardians are always welcome--even encouraged--to attend this meeting but if you are not yet 18 years of age, a Parent/Guardian MUST attend. At this meeting, the student may enroll into the Adult Diploma Program. Once enrollment is complete, you may register for classes. You can pick up a course description sheet and Course Registration Sheet in Room D124 or G167. You can also review the current schedule (along with a Registration Form) here: Current Courses and Schedule
If you are considering choosing the ADP as your pathway towards graduation, please preview the two files below: The ADP Policies Form and then the Enrollment Form. Both of these forms are also available in the Graduation Pathways Office in Room D124 and G167 with Dr. O'Brien.
****IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you decide to pursue the Adult Diploma Program, you may not revert to the MHS Diploma. The Courses within the Adult Diploma meet the State of NH Diploma requirements but the credit calculations (1 credit for 1 semester's worth of classes) does not align with the Merrimack High School credit structure, and neither have courses gone through the course approval process for MHS****
