Rollover

Every year, we save changes to one school year and begin another in PowerSchool. This process is called the Rollover, and it generally happens in the middle of July. Certain tasks must be completed prior to this event, and others must happen after. Here's an overview to help you .

Before

  • Pre-Enrollment or pre-registration (pre-reg) is OK at any time. This requires a future entry date.
  • Grade Level information should be updated. Go through the Scheduling Setup page for each student. Confirm these items:
      • Ensure the Next Year Grade is correct (promoted).
      • Verify the Next School Indicator (changed if stepping up).
      • The Year of Grad is optional until high school.
  • Run an Error Report.
    • Go to System Reports > Engine Tab > EOY Report > Submit to see if there are any errors with the Scheduling Setup pages. Any errors highlight in yellow and should be corrected individually.
  • Send a Retained Student List to Carrie.


After

  • Transfer students out of school
  • Calendar setup
  • Enroll students into classes
