Community

a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals

“The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn't need to be reformed -- it needs to be transformed. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education, but to personalize it, to build achievement on discovering the individual talents of each child, to put students in an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions.” - Sir Ken Robinson.

We are proud to create something as a community of art teachers, for our community of artists. We work to foster an atmosphere of cooperation with respect for individual differences and community values. Through this time of remote learning, we have all been put in a position to try something new and make it our own. Students have created some of the most wonderfully unique pieces of art because in many ways the arts are a form of play; an escape. The most incredible part is the number of parents and siblings that have submitted work alongside our students saying that they took time to create and had forgotten how much they enjoyed it.

“Never underestimate the vital importance of finding early in life the work that for you is play. This turns possible underachievers into happy warriors.” - Sir Ken Robinson

Technique does not constitute art. Nor is it a vague, fuzzy romantic quality known as ‘beauty,’ remote from the realities of everyday life. It is the depth and intensity of an artist’s experience that are the first importance in art.
