My name is Mary Lou Donahoe, I am the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Teacher for English Language Learners (EL) students in grades K-2 .
I graduate with my Bachelors of Arts in Spanish degree in 2003 from Keene State University. In 2006 I graduated from Plymouth State University with a Masters in Education with a concentration in ESOL. I decided I was not done learning and went back to get a second Masters degree from The George Washington University. I graduated in 2018 with Master of Arts in Education and Human Development in Special Education for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners.
The ESOL program is designed to make grade level academic content accessible to students who speak other languages than English at home. Our ESOL program focuses on English language development, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, through academic content instruction that is linguistically and culturally responsive.
