This year we will do a LOT of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We will begin the year warming up our pencils with quick writes and selected readings. As we move throughout the school year, students will explore shorter texts and longer novel studies as well as expand and enhance our writing with content and formal writing tasks in three key areas: argumentative, informative, and narrative. Spelling, vocabulary, and morphology are key components in our word study that will be taught throughout the year. Students will have opportunities to showcase digital competencies and creativity through culminating activities each trimester.
