WORSHIP- FOUNDED - "We Worship"
The foundation of our parish life is Holy Eucharist. We must always have a meaningful and beautiful celebration, which means everybody is taking part in the celebration. Priest, Deacon, Lectors, Communion Ministers, Choir, Altar Servers and Greeters are trained and well prepared. We need liturgical coordinators especially for planning.
The Parish must make some liturgical innovations that make the liturgy suitable for the season such as Polka Mass, Outdoor Masses and Mass in honour of our Patron Saint.
Advent, Christmas and Lenten Season must have comprehensive planning because they are source of conversion and communion in our parish.
The Holy eucharist is reinforced by bible study, RCIA, doctrinal and faith sharing (Men's Holy League) and Sacramental Preparations. These avenues help the Parishioners prepare themselves for the celebration by understanding and reflecting on the word of God. the Parish must sustain these activities by promoting and enhancing them, so we need a coordinator for these programs.
Organizing retreats too are very enhancing for us to see the benefits of the sacraments and help us grow in our intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
INCLUSIVE MINDSET: "We Celebrate"
The parish of St. Henry is a diverse parish. We must be a welcoming parish. Minorities, new parishioners, visitors and people who are searching for their faith must be welcomed into out church.
Fellowship is so important in our parish because it brings people closer to one another and strengthen its communion. Fellowship is not only a simple gathering for food but a celebration of successes and life in our parish. Once a month simple fellowship will be great. Seasonal grand fellowships, appreciation of volunteers are highly recommended.
Fellowship too is opening the door of our parish for other denominations because they too are our brothers and sisters.
There is an urgent need to discern youth formation and must be supported by all the different organizations and groups in our parish.
SERVICE ORIENTED: " We Serve"
We have the CWL, Knights of Columbus, Rosary Sodality and Social Justice Committee which are rooted in the mission to grow in faith and witness to the love of God through ministry and service to church, community and country such as charity, Marian devotion, community service and funeral lunches.
