Oklahoma's Promise offers qualified Oklahoma students an opportunity to earn a scholarship for college tuition. This scholarship will cover the cost of tuition for any public Oklahoma 2-year college or 4-year university, OR a portion of the tuition costs at some accredited private Oklahoma colleges and universities, OR a portion of the tuition cost for approved programs at Oklahoma public technology centers . The student is still responsible for any fees and textbook costs. Students receiving Oklahoma's Promise are still able to apply for and receive additional scholarships on top of what they receive from this scholarship.
Must be an Oklahoma resident.
Must enroll any time from 8th grade to December 31st of the student's 12th grade year. (For example, seniors in the 2025-2026 school year must turn in their applications no later than December 31, 2025.)
The parents' federal adjusted gross income must not exceed:
$60K per year with 1 or 2 dependent children
$70K per year with 3 or 4 dependent children
$80K per year with 5 or more dependent children
Special income/enrollment provisions may apply to:
Children of a certified public classroom teacher employed in Oklahoma for a minimum of 10 years.
Taxable Social Security benefits based on the death or disability of the student’s parent(s).
Must meet academic and conduct requirements in high school (click the link below for more information).
