Ramp supports physical and virtual cards that you can use wherever VISA is accepted such as Costco and Amazon. Make a request for your card depending on the occasion, whether recurring or one-time purposes.
Watch an instructional video or follow the below steps.
Click "Request Spend" on the upper-right corner of "My Ramp".
Select a type of Ramp card you're requesting depending on the purpose:
Something Specific: Virtual card designated for a specific vendor and use. For example, a virtual card for monthly subscription fees paid to Zoom.
General Purpose - Virtual Card: Virtual card designated for a general purpose. For example, a virtual card for office supplies (Expense Code: 107) of your department.
General Purpose - Physical Card: Physical card issued for a specific individual. Currently, we limit the physical card to pastoral/administrative staffs and department ministry leaders.
Provide details of your request including:
Card Name: Your department name, expense code, and a short description for purpose. For example, "KDC Toddler - 105 Easter Decoration".
Amount: The amount becomes the maximum limit for your card. For ordinary spending, the amount should be within the annual budget. In case the amount exceeds the budget, provide reasons why an excessive amount is necessary. Any extraordinary spending will be subject to proper approval according to the expense guidelines.
Frequency: Choose a proper frequency whether periodic (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.) or one-time (Total). For a periodic frequency, your limit will reset after the specified period of time. For example, Monthly resets the limit every calendar month.
Your card request requires approval by a certain group of ministry leaders from departmental elder to Administrative Pastor and Finance Department Elder. You will be able to see the approval status by clicking the requested card on "My Cards" section of "My Ramp". If you need immediate attention from approvers, reach out to your departmental ministry leaders.
Once approved, you will be able to confirm the details of your card on "My Cards" (card number, expiration date and 3-digit security code). Use your card anywhere VISA is accepted. Use the church address for billing address:
1111 N BROOKHURST ST., ANAHEIM, CA 92801
As soon as your card is charged, you will receive a text message prompting to reply with a picture of receipt and memo for description of spending. Alternatively, you can add your receipt by forwarding it to receipts@ramp.com. Ramp will automatically match your text or email reply to corresponding transaction and add receipts and memo. It's that easy!
Remember to spend within the pre-approved limit. If you attempt to spend more than the card limit, your attempt will be denied.
You can always check details of your spending under "Transactions" section of "My Ramp".
