What is Life After SPA?
At Sarah Pyle Academy, our mission is not just to get our students a diploma, but for each and every student to reach beyond that diploma, what we call "Life After SPA." Our Career and College planning is focused around each student's personal interests and strengths. With help from our Transition Coordinator, we will help students figure out what they want to do, find programs and schools that will help give students the training they need, apply to post secondary programs, apply for financial aid. and help students who are going on to further education register for coursework in college or trade programs.
Ask yourself the following questions:
Where do you see yourself five years from now? How about 10 years from now?
What kind of house do you want to live in? Do you want a car? What kind hobbies do you want to be able to afford?
What sort of work do you imagine yourself doing? What are you good at?
All of these questions are essential to figuring out what you want to do with your Life After SPA. Whether you continue your education, get training for a trade, enter the military, or go right into the workforce, our goal is for you to be able to achieve your dreams, whatever they may be.

College Application Month
Each year from mid October though the week before Thanksgiving, SPA holds it's College (and Career!) Application Month. During College Application Month, we work with all seniors to make sure that they apply to any post high school programs they are interested in. Most colleges and trade schools in the State of Delaware, and some in nearby Pennsylvania, waive application fees for our students during College Application Month.

College Admissions Testing Websites
ACT Test - Students must sign up for this test and pay to take it off site
Accuplacer Test - This test is given at Sarah Pyle Academy at no cost to the student; this link provides information about the test. SPA gives this test to all seniors before graduation to determine if they meet minimal college admissions requirements at a pre-tech level or higher.
SAT Test - Students must sign up for this test and pay to take it; they can choose to take the SAT at SPA or at another local test site.
