Meet Mrs. Pool

Donna has been teaching music in the San Juan Unified School District for 30 years.  She began teaching band, choir, and Commercial Art at Rio Americano High School and then moved to Starr King, Sylvan, and Will Rogers, where she taught beginning and advanced bands.  In 2005, she began working at Arcade Middle School, teaching choir and multiple levels of band.  She feels very lucky to have such a great job with such wonderful students, parents, and colleagues.  It is her "happy place".

Donna plays the tuba in various groups around Sacramento.  She also enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, traveling, building things, Lego, Dungeons and Dragons, video games, painting, spending time with her two kids, and relaxing with her husband.
