Advanced Band

The advanced band is for students who already know how to play a concert band instrument and can read music.  Students should have at least one year of prior musical training in concert band, but two years is recommended.  Students will continue reading higher-level music, learn more about playing their instruments, and will work collaboratively in a rehearsal setting.

The following instruments are accepted in the advanced band: flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, all saxophones, trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, bass, drum, and mallets. 

Students must have prior approval from Mrs. Pool to join this class.
