For our students in middle school, we are recommending working on school work for a minimum of 4 hours a week and no more than 8 hours a week.
Here are a few tips on how to get you going:
Connect to online learning platforms
Connect with your teachers
Participate in our Virtual Spirit Days
Connect time and learning with a flexible schedule:
Set up a learning space
create a dedicated space for learning
make it comfortable and accessible (dining room table works!)
Decide on a schedule
be flexible as it will probably need to change
consider 30 min to 45 min chunks of learning a couple of times a day
build in downtime with and without screen time
include exercise and outside time
encourage creative outlets
Take advantage of academic support for enrichment outside of class lessons
