Sanger High School presented this month's campus spotlight! A video compilation of students from various organizations stating why they are proud to be a Sanger Indian was created by the outstanding A/V Team.
The board voted unanimously to approve next year's calendar! An easy to print version is attached below, but an image you can save is also posted here. This will be posted on the district website and will be sent out to all families via School Status!
Thank you everyone for your input on the creation of this calendar!
After months of preparation, Director of Safety and Security Mike Picha completed all requirements to implement a police department solely for the service of Sanger ISD. After a unanimous approval by the board, Mr. Picha was sworn in as Chief of Police for Sanger ISD.
The district signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Glenn Polk Chevrolet in Sanger to offer automotive CTE instruction to Sanger High School students in a 4-year program that will offer both industry based certifications and opportunities for internship.
The board received a demonstration on safety and security lights from Green Watt Lighting and reviewed a quote to add these fixtures to all campuses. These lights provide visual alerts and push notifications to admin when exterior doors are left open so they may be closed and the building secured. The board approved unanimously to proceed with installation using federal grant funds.
The board and attendees also received a virtual walk-through presentation by the architects of the new Sanger High School. The board and some of our admin were treated to a delicious bbq dinner courtesy of the World Champion Sanger High School BBQ Team!
In keeping with normal board meeting affairs, the board heard financial reports from CFO Monica Herren and a curriculum and instruction update from Assistant Superintendent Jennie Flaa on the district's student participation in sensitive health topic instruction (which parents must opt in for their student to receive).
2 guests spoke in open forum.
The board also reviewed and acted on several other items, approving the following with unanimous votes.
