Sixth Grade Center presented this month's campus spotlight: The UIL District Champion Teams and Individuals!
The Board approved the appointment of Dr. Logan Lacy, a 7 year veteran administrator, to the position of Principal at Sanger Middle School.

Coach Mann presented to the board an overview of the new program that will be used to help student athletes maintain focus and effort on their academic achievement.
Coach Rogers showcased the new Pre-Athletics Course that will be introduced to students in 6th grade. More rigorous than standard PE, students who participate in pre-athletics will focus on improving their strength, conditioning, agility, and sport specific skills. This course would replace PE and count as student's PE credit.
To date, the district has completed 6 of 7 TEA Safety Audits this school year in addition to the 3 year Region 10 Safety Audit.
To comply with new state mandates, the district will use grant funds to purchase Defensify Door Film that would be applied to every exterior glass surface. The board approved the purchase of these materials, which we hope will never be put to the test of delaying a forced entry.
Project Manager Mr. Teems provided his monthly update to the board on the progress of construction for the bond projects.
They are working on wiring the electrical to the addition at CCI, where the old portables have been demolished and removed. Once permits are approved, they will begin building.
The design for the new Ag building has been finalized and sent out for bids.
Engineers are working to analyze the soil and determine the best foundation type for the new high school.
In keeping with normal board meeting affairs, the board heard financial reports from CFO Monica Herren and a teaching and learning update from Assistant Superintendent Jennie Flaa.
