If you need to submit or store work you've done by hand, like notes on paper, artwork, or other written work, it is best to scan the document instead of taking a photo.

Go to the Notes App
Select "Scan a document"
Use the camera to scan
Select the option for the best image:
black & white, color, or photo.
Save the pdf.

Open your Google Drive App
Select a folder to file the image
Click the plus sign to add and select "scan"
Capture the image and click the check mark.
Use the menu options to adjust the color, size, and orientation. Click "Save".

Instead of taking a screenshot of your entire computer screen, you can use the snipping tool to select only a part of your screen to "snip".

On your Chromebook, press ctrl, shift and the switch window key (right above the #6 key) to get the crosshair cursor (like a "t") and make a box to select what you want to capture. Your screen will dim when the crosshairs are active. Watch the student video for a demonstration.
