WHAT WE BELIEVE
We Believe: All humans think mathematically and can succeed in mathematics.
We Acknowledge: BIPOC, multilingual learners, and students with learning differences have historically had inequitable opportunities to demonstrate mathematical thinking and achieve success in our district. We take responsibility for creating the conditions for success for these learners.
WHAT WE DO
We Talk About Math: Students engage in meaningful mathematical discourse every day.
We Think About Math: Students think critically about cognitively demanding mathematical tasks every day.
We Make Our Thinking Visible: Students revise and share feedback on multiple representations ("Ways of Thinking" and "Ways of Explaining").
HOW WE FEEL
We Enjoy Math: Students experience the wonder, joy, and beauty of mathematics every day.
We Feel Confident: Students' identities and agency are positively cultivated every day.
