Industry Partners

Students will participate in a virtual visit to a recording studio in order to learn what takes place when a musician prepares music for release. In addition, students will be able to interview members of a record label to discuss what makes a successful piece of music. Our students will also work with professional music artists, who can describe the process of creating, recording, and promoting their own music. Students will strive to produce a product that meets professional industry standards given their limited access to professional equipment and budget. Current industry standards for releasing music includes a mixed and mastered audio file as well as visual promotional material.
