In addition to visiting a music studio and a record label to gain industry-specific knowledge about the process of producing music, our students will also hear from professional musicians with the San Diego Symphony. We will also make use of virtual field trips to music-related museums, which will expose our students to the variety of options they have in selecting the style of their own music and may inspire them to create their music by learning about a specific artist or group. Some museums that could be helpful would be the Fleet Science Center, the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, and the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.
