PLTW Medical Interventions
Students explore how to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease while learning about the tools and techniques used by healthcare professionals. Through labs, simulations, and case-based learning, students investigate medical innovations, from vaccines, antibiotics and genetics to prosthetics and surgical procedures. Discover how medical science improves and saves lives.
Honors Medical Interventions is articulated with Miramar College (San Diego) as Bio 131.
Students at MEA can earn 4 LAB Science credits by passing the end of course exam with a "B" or better. (Exam is proctored at the end of the course by Miramar instructor).
Score on the exam (A or B) will be the grade for the course on transcript. (HS and College).
