Welcome to Mt. Everest Academy (MEA): 8th Grade Science!
Hello Scientists!

Welcome to an exciting year of discovery and exploration in 8th Grade Science! 

I’m so excited to have each of you in class and can’t wait to see the curiosity, questions, and creativity you’ll bring to our investigations.

This year, we’ll be using a program that combines hands-on activities, interactive digital tools, and real-world science problems to help us think and work like actual scientists. Get ready to explore topics like DNA, Genetics, Neurology and Toxins, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering. You’ll gather evidence, build models, make claims, and defend your thinking—just like scientists do every day!

In our class, mistakes are part of learning, questions are encouraged, and teamwork will help us go further. Whether we’re solving mysteries, running experiments, or analyzing data, you’ll learn to ask “why?” and “how?”—and then figure it out together.

Let’s make this a year full of curiosity, collaboration, and scientific breakthroughs!
