If you are interested in the legal profession or have a passion for public speaking and logical arguments, come try out for the Mock Trial team. There is a Mock Trial interest meeting in Ms. Marietti's room (228) at lunch on Monday, September 14th. Mock Trial is an academic team that works to prove and disprove a real court case and competes in the downtown San Diego courthouse against other high schools.

Lights. Camera. Storytelling! At our next Mentor Monday, students will get an inside look at the exciting world of news broadcasting and camera production. Our guest mentors will share what it’s really like to work both in front of and behind the camera—from reporting and storytelling to capturing the footage that brings a story to life.
Students will learn about the skills, technology, teamwork, and fast-paced decision-making that go into producing the news while discovering the many career opportunities available in broadcasting and media.
⭐ BONUS: Students who participate will receive TREAT credit and have the opportunity to participate in a follow-up field trip with our mentor, where they can experience the broadcasting industry firsthand!

Once your club paperwork is submitted and you have attended the mandatory club meeting at lunch on Thursdays, come to the ASB room to sign up for Club Rush. Tables and fundraising assignments will be approved on a first-come first served basis.
Be sure that you are checking your Canvas and Powerschool grades and that you are on track. Check in with your teachers, attend ACES befor or after school, visit TREAT teachers at lunch and get the supports you need! Progress report grades determine your eligibility to participate in Athletics.

Reporting an absence?

Include: student name, your name and relationship to student, date(s) of the absence, reason for the absence and your phone number. Attendance records can only be cleared within 5 school days.
Picking up your student Early?
Please make every effort to call or email at least one hour before expected dismissal time! If you know in advance, you can send a note in with your student to get dismissed early. Students leaving early must have school authorization by way of a "Blue Slip" to exit campus. Failure to get a Blue Slip before leaving campus will result in a truancy. Parents/guardians may not call to clear a truancy after the student has left campus.
