From the Counselors: Welcome back, Bucs! Class enrollments may continue to shift over the first two weeks of school as enrollments change. We will ensure you keep all your classes, but the order and/or teachers may change. Please read the announcement on the bottom of your printed "yellow" schedules you picked up on the first morning of school regarding you requesting changes.
Assigned Time Home Students - for your assigned period, please report to the Auditorium to receive important instructions about required steps that must be completed in order for you to arrive late or leave early from campus.
Mesa College Students - for your assigned period, please report to the Library. You will get instructions and support for signing in to your Mesa College Canvas classes. (9th Period Mesa students will be called in by counseling this week.)
Athletics students - If you have Athletics on your schedule, report to the Gym for important instructions and procedures about attendance and expectations.
All 9th grade students get a new school-issued Chromebook issued for high school!
Freshman that have not swapped out their middle school device & charger, or are new to the district, are welcome to come to the library before school, at lunch or after school. Students that have a district-issued device already checked out must bring it and the corresponding charger in order to get your new one. If you have questions, please come by and ask!
Homecoming Dance
Aug 14 & 21 @ Lunch -$70 with ASB Card or $80 without ASB Card
Aug 28 & Sept 4 @ Lunch - $80 with ASB Card or $90 without ASB Card
Sept 7-9 @ Lunch - $100 (final day to buy tickets is Sept 9)

ASB Cards- ASB cards are $35 and will be sold at lunch on Fridays through August. Your ASB "sticker" will appear on your 5 Star ID. If you need a physical sticker, come to the ASB room at lunch before our first home game on Aug 21.
ASB cards get you free entry to home, regular season games, discounted dance tickets and invites to special ASB Card Holder Events throughout the school year.
Gear Shop- get your locks, PE clothes and spirit gear in the Gear Shop every day at lunch this week. Starting next week the Gear Shop will be open at lunch on Fridays only. Check made out to Mission Bay High School, cash or credit card/apple pay (+ 4% service charge).
Buc Cafe- Buc Cafe is open every day at lunch! We well drinks, snacks and treats from $1-3. Cash only.
Lockers
Locker assignments are available at lunch, before and after school from Room 344. You will not be assigned a locker without presenting your combination lock and providing the combo code.
Parking Permits
If you are a Junior or Senior and plan to park on campus, you must obtain a parking permit. Parking permits will be issued at lunch, before and after school from Room 344. Students must bring printed and completed parking permit application and copies of their valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and current proof of liability insurance. Visit Student Parking for more information and to download and print an application.
School Photo Makeup Day - Monday, August 24th
Passes will be distributed to anyone that did not take a photo during Welcome Back days.
Seniors pose in drape/tux. For drape, wear a black tank/camisole. For tux, wear a white tshirt.
Retakes are available before school starting at 8AM, at lunch or afterschool until 4PM.
Don't wear green!

MB Club Application and Meeting: Attention Club Officers and Advisors. If you are interested in starting a club or renewing a club charter, you must complete the Club Application on the school website under the Student tab, AND attend a mandatory Club Officer/Advisor Meeting before you become eligible to meet or fundraise. Attendance Tips
Reporting Absences
Parents can report absences by email: missionbayattendance@sandi.net or Phone: (858)536-0136, Press Option 2
Include: student name, your name and relationship to student, date(s) of the absence, reason for the absence and your phone number. Attendance records can only be cleared within 5 school days.
Picking up your student Early? Students leaving early must have school authorization by way of a Blue Slip to exit campus.
Please make every effort to call or email at least one hour before expected dismissal time. If you know in advance, you can send a note in with your student to get dismissed early.
IMPORTANT: Failure to get a Blue Slip before leaving campus will result in a truancy. Parents/guardians may not call to clear a truancy after the student has left campus.
