Greg Oberle has been Madison’s Theatre and Technical Theatre for the past nine years. He has a Bachelors’ degree in theatre and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration, and has directed over 150 productions in his 31 years of teaching. He

His students present up to four shows a year, including the Broadway musicals “Les Misérables,” Beauty and the Beast,” “Oklahoma,” ”Hello Dolly,” and many others. Mr. Oberle’s students have collaborated and performed with The Old Globe Theatre, The San Diego Opera Company, Starlight Theatre, Mesa College, and San Diego City College.

Students do not need experience to get involved - all that is required is a willingness to work with other energetic and positive students. Everyone who comes is given a place in the shows.

In addition to on-stage performances, the Technical Theatre students design, build, and paint elaborate sets such as 2 story full-stage castles, rotating barricades, and moving sets that change frequently during shows. Students also design and create sound and lighting effects.
