Changemakers and Structures
For our CHANGEMAKERS unit we read many great books about character changemakers and thought about how they used their hands and their words to make things better. We then thought about ourselves as changemakers and used our own hands and voices to proclaim our power as young changemakers.
For our STRUCTURES unit we studied Homes, Skyscrapers, Bridges, and Playgrounds. We thought about the parts and the functions of these structures and made several attempts to build them with various materials.
