A changemaker is anyone, no matter how old or young, who steps up and solves a problem for the good of all.
-Ashoka Organization
Here at Mountain View School we are a community of learners and changemakers, and the role in the project process was to use empathy and work collaboratively to think of ideas that create change in our school.
These are the steps that were taken for our project process. The end goal was to take action and make positive changes in our school.
Step 1-
Empathy
By putting yourself in someone else's shoes you can find ways to help solve problems.
We read some great books about empathy to understand how caring for others is the way to start being a changemaker. Empathy fosters understanding, and with kindness has the ability to make positive changes both big and small.
Step 2-
Identify a Problem
Step 3 and 4
Make an Action Plan and Be a Changemaker
Step 5-
Think About Ways to be a Changemaker Outside of School
