Hello Fifth Grade Parents and Students!

Welcome back to another great year at Ericson Elementary! We are excited to get going with our program again and start making beautiful music together. Our focus will be on supporting our students with the fundamentals of music and music expression as outlined by the National Core Arts Standards for Music:

NATIONAL CORE ARTS STANDARDS FOR MUSIC

FIFTH GRADE

a) Improvise rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic ideas, and explain connection to specific purpose and context (such as social, cultural, and historical ).

b) Generate musical ideas (such as rhythms, melodies, and accompaniment patterns) within specific related tonalities, meters, and simple chord changes.
