Hello Second Grade Parents and Students!

Welcome back to another great year at Ericson Elementary! We are excited to get going with our program again and start making beautiful music together. Our focus will be on supporting our students with the fundamentals of music and music expression as outlined by the National Core Arts Standards for Music:

NATIONAL CORE ARTS STANDARDS FOR MUSIC

SECOND GRADE

a) Improvise rhythmic and melodic patterns and musical ideas for a specific purpose.

b) Generate musical patterns and ideas within the context of a given tonality (such as major and minor) and meter (such as duple and triple).
