Hello First Grade Parents and Students!

Welcome back to another great year at Ericson Elementary! We are excited to get going with our program again and start making beautiful music together. Our focus will be on supporting our students with the fundamentals of music and music expression as outlined by the National Core Arts Standards for Music:

NATIONAL CORE ARTS STANDARDS FOR MUSIC

FIRST GRADE

a) With limited guidance, create musical ideas (such as answering a musical question) for a specific purpose .

b) With limited guidance, generate musical ideas in multiple tonalities (such as major and minor) and meters (such as duple and triple).
