Leaving Early, Arriving Late, & Tardies

Students arriving late due to oversleeping, transportation problems, or other unexcused reason, should go directly to class. Teachers will enter a tardy (T) or missed more than 30 minutes - unexcused (W). Students arriving late to school due to a medical appointment or other excused reason, should sign in at the attendance office prior to going to class.  If arriving late to school due to an excused absence and a parent has completed an attendance Google form, the T or W recorded by the teacher in PowerSchool will be replaced with an  L for late/leave early. Students leaving with a blue slip and returning with a blue slip must sign in and out on the blue attendance sheet in the attendance office.

Excused Absences/Tardies

• Illness: Absences due to illness for 3 or more consecutive days, require a note from your doctor to be excused

• Medical or Dental appointments  

• Death in the Family

• Court appointments

• College visits 

• Family emergency

Unexcused Absences/Tardies

• Transportation problems

• Oversleeping

• Family activities

• Out of town (vacations or trips)

• Personal matters
