Blue Slips: Leaving Early

Before leaving campus during school hours, students must pick up a blue slip from the attendance office during passing time or lunch time. Blue slips will not be issued during classtime. Blue slips are processed for students whose parent/guardian reported their absences in advance and prior to 10am either via the Attendance Google form or via the email on file in PowerSchool. The Attendance Google From must be completed by the parent/guardian. Submission of the Google Form twenty-four hours in advance will help ensure a timely blue slip. 

Students must present the blue slip to the teacher to be released from class, and provide it to Campus Supervision as they exit the gate through Falcon Way, or to the front office clerk if the student is getting picked up. Students must sign out in the​ ​Attendance Office before leaving campus and sign back in when/if they return.​ 

Students may only leave school grounds with a blue slip or a sticker on their current student ID indicating they have assigned time home, a college course, internship, or are in a sport with a competition that requires early dismissal. ​Student-athletes will be released if they have a sticker on their ID, their name appears on the team roster, and their is a scheduled early dismissal for their team. 

Leaving school grounds without a blue slip or sticker is a truancy.
