Arabic calligraphy
This week was the begging of becoming a maker . finally I got to create my own idea and transform it from just an image in my head to reality . creating a phone holder is simple thing but for me its huge step . I sent about two hours just searching and i fall in the love or Arabic calligraphy still waiting to see the result in real .First I was going to do another batman drawing but while searching I found some magnificent Arabic patterns and calligraphy. as for the design of the phone holder i chose it as simple as it could be.
As for the software i used fusion 360 to create the design. Sharp 3d also helped me and was very easy to use . Laser work finally to put the patterns and drawings i want to engrave into the phone holder .
During the design phase i used paper and cardboard to help me get the dimensions right and i made a prototype and it save me a lot still got into troubles and mistakes but it helped me .Actually i really love that concept .

Lasrwork
I edited the file ( putting the drawing on the phone holder using laser work)
Material : 3mm plywood .
next i downloaded the file into the machine and it was going to take about 7minutes.
The machine : Laser cutter
After some editing that was the final shape I used the laser cutter and one screw. at the first it was going with too much power so we decreased the power and increased the speed in order for the details to show up using 15 power and the speed was 300mm.
a future advice , the drawing in the middle needed to be with more power to be to be much obvious .
sketching
After searching the internet to get inspired I finally decided to choose a simple design and engrave a beautiful Arabic calligraphy on it . Next I drew it on paper and edit the dimensions to fit my phone then I used cardboard to draw the design and cut it to make prototype but it had a lot of mistakes with the dimensions so I edited it the. The following step was to design it on the computer but I chose to see it on the iPad first through sharp 3d and it was easier to use finally I made it in Fusin 360.

After the design process using fusion 360 then i had some trouble uploading the DXF file of the draw into Fusion 360 it was crashing
so i used Laser work
First step :-
I uploaded the Body file
2nd step
i uploaded the 2 drawings the arabic pattern and the allah noor dxf files and put them into the body
And Finally
for cutting
speed : 25
power : 65
for engraving
speed : 300
power : 15
I saw the video's on the student website and it ass mot enough so i searched for specific things and YouTube helped me a lot . at the finally step the joint step when we joint the parts we designed i face a lot of problems ant it was frustrating but I managed to find the tutorials online .

Arabic patterns in wood
I saw the design with one of our collogues and i loved how simple it is and how it can gave you a space for getting the art into that simple peace . Online I saw how beautiful is the Arabic patterns and calligraphy in the laser cutting so I chose it and waiting for thee final shape.
I also found out that I can convert Pictures into dxf through convrtio.co , how great is that !!. Its like opening a new land full of ideas for creativity too grow even more they even sell that shapes on etsy and eBay , it will be great to make some money doing that . Maybe l will open a store .
First in copying the t-slot then in getting the joints together, then at the end I found out that I have mistakes in the base part regarding dimensions so please concentrate in implementing the design .So looked for how to edit the skitch after extruding it. After editing the dimensions the key slot was not at its place so I got there and edited it .the videos on the student website and the YouTube were very helpful
the base
Finally I used the internet to put the design on the body through laser work and i had to edit it and decrease its size and the previous videos helped me that..

The batman box
I can start to design batman secret box that week it will be a great chance to learn even more .
How great the Arabic pattern and calligraphy looks at the laser cutting . Also the power that apps like fusion 360 and sharp 3d can give you to create an image in your head into something you can touch Finally the idea of making money through dxf files design that's great passive income source i always looked for something like that but graphic design and making videos' were not my thing so i am sure I will try it. That's my wow for the week LOL .
