The idea of week 6 is to make an Arduino circuit that will make red color and sound when any one is near it.
so the input is:
1- The ultrasonic sensor detecting someone around
While the output are :
1-Red color (LED)
2- Making sound(Buzzer)
I chose this idea to help me doing my final project which is a device that detect if some one tried to enter my house while I am outside.
I learnt a lot from the page of instructor Hala Gamal The link is in here
I used an ultrasonic sensor that detects if anyone around.
Arduino UNO
which reads a signal from the (sensor).
I used the LED, resistor, buzzer, bread board and wires.
TinkerCAD
That will allow me to make the design to put all the component inside.
First, I used an Arduino Uno board to control the circuit.(brain)
I used an Ultrasonic sensor to detect the objects on a distance of 10 cm. or less (Input)
I put a buzzer to make a sound if any body is around.(output1)
and also a Red LED that will make red illumination as an alert.(output2)
2- Connect the Arduino to the lab-top using the USP cable.
3- Be sure you chose the right USB of Arduino and press upload.
The Arduino UNO Connection
The 5 Volts with a positive N in the bread-board
The ground with the negative N in the bread-board
The Sensor Connection
VCC to the positive on the bread-board
Triger to 6 on Arduino
Echo to 5 on Arduino
Ground to negative N in bread-board
Buzzer
The positive leg to the positive N on bread-board
The negative leg to the 3 on Arduino
LED
The positive leg to 7 on Arduino
The negative leg to resistor to the positive N on bread-board
The code didn`t work for me in real life, but it is working on Tinker CAD.
I searched the internet but I couldn`t figure out why the sensor isn`t working now.
It is correct as it makes simulation in Tinker CAD.
There is something wrong I guess .The device keep illuminating and making sound without the income of the sensor.
I tried a lot. But then I entered the extra session to discuss that with the instructors.
Mohanad noticed that I didn`t connect the sensor to electricity on Arduino.
And here it is working right now 😃
I learned to add the LED and other component on the bread-board directly so it will be more clear for me, then to add wires and put it in the outer body.
Also I decided to make part 1 of the final project bigger so it will be easier to put all the wires and bread board inside.
We enjoyed gathering together at San3a.
I will never forget this day.
1- This week Me and Youssef we designed Bakar
He is smart, whenever he detects anyone around he waves.
