The idea of week 5 is to be able to make a circuit of two energy transformations and put it in a device of my choice.
This week I was searching for a mini bar refrigerator. I liked this white whale minibar one so much and I decided to make it for week 5 assignment as well.
for simulating the circuits before applying it.
I used the bread board, switch button, wires, buzzer and a LED.
I used cardboard, scissors, glue and cutter.
For simulation:
I used Tinker Cad.
I chose the small bread board, buzzer, switch button, wires, resistor and a LED.
I chose making sound that you hear opening the refrigerator, and the LED for lightening.
For the power supply I used the 5 Volts adaptor.
I used the (220 Ohms) resistor so that the LED won`t got damaged because of the 5 Volts, while for the buzzer it`s O.K. to connect it directly.
For the resistor and push button, they will be connected in series as the resistor should decrease the amount of Voltage that suppose to reach the LED without changing the intensity of current. While for the switch it should be in series to stop the current and allow it to pass when we want and that only happens in series connections.
While the buzzer and LED will be connected in parallel to each other so if one of them get damaged the second will be working independently and also to be sure that both branches have the same voltage.
First bring the bread board that suit the size of the devise.
Add the LED and the resistor in series. Connect the long leg of the LED to the positive and the short one to the resistor the to the negative wire.
In the second part add the buzzer. Connect the long led to the positive and the short one to the negative as well.
Now it`s time to add the power supply.
connect the adaptor to the rosette then the positive to only one jumper.
connect the positive jumper to a crocodile then to the switch.
Put another crocodile in the second leg of the switch and now connect the crocodile to two jumpers one of them to the LED, While the other one is to the buzzer.
For the negative wire(the ground):
connect two jumpers to the rosette.
connect one of the jumpers to the LED, While the second jumper will be for the buzzer.
Now try to turn on and off the switch after connecting the electricity of coarse.
I used the Card board, Glue, cutter and scissors.
I made a separator for the freezer as a shape and also will hide the circuits inside.
I will cut a window for the switch and Led to appear, while keeping the buzzer, wires and bread board inside.
I will only cut a small hole to allow the adaptor`s wire to be out of the body of the refrigerator but from the back.
I had to add two male-female jumpers to give more extension to the LED.
My peers Marwa and Rabab helped me applying the 4 switches technique to control the direction of the motor. we used it and enjoyed playing with Bo7a the car.
Yes, we didn`t won, but we enjoyed our time to the max.
Avometer helped me to know why fan didn`t work in trying to making a tutorial.
I remembered when you said Avometer is your friend. So the Sherlock Holmz in me tried to figure out why🧐(using dear Avo.)
It was the AC (regulator).Turning to my instructor I knew that I may used it in the wrong direction so I will try again.
I also didn`t know why the Avometer didn`t make loud voice during the session. Saeed told me may be it`s the battery. Really the battery wasn`t at it`s suitable place and I enjoyed the noise of it while working.
I think I will do so many devices with an indication for how they are going to perform their functions later.
I will never forget when we were playing with the cars we made in Makathon week 5. It is a precious memory that I am happy to have.
Thanks.
Now EL7. I know more about electric circuits.
I will enjoy doing more activities.
