This week my assessment revolves around designing a pen and pencil holder with Fusion 360 and creating laser-cut files.
so I got inspired by this design because it reminds me of the stars also I wanted a minimized holder that was easy to carry.

to design the holder I made some steps :
1- I drew the side box in Fusion 360 and made all the lines fully defined
2-I draw the other side of the holder
3- made joint between the two side
4- I coped the file then I inserted the two files together
5- i made joint between the four sides together
6- I drew the bottom of the holder after jointing the four-parts and I projected the nale place
7- I downloaded the nail and joint it to the T slot
8- I draw a break to be inside the holder then joint it to the holder

I prepared the files in the RD works for laser cut by adjusting the cut ( speed 40/ power 45)
then I cut the wood in the laser cut machine then I collected the pieces together and put T slot screws in the wood .

yes. First I planned to make a Bracket ( 3d printing ) in my design but my friend suggested T slot would be better
my peers helped me a lot by encouraging me and choosing the colors.

I got stuck when I couldn't make the bottom lines of the holder folly defined after I asked Farida about the solution and she guided me on how to define the liens by connecting the lines to the center point and it worked with me

after fabrication, I found some mistakes in the design:
1- I forgot to draw the tap of the T slot so it was hard to insert the nails of the t slot
2- I made x slots in all the directions of the holder so it was tough to collect all the faces together.

I can use these skills in choosing and designing my final project by using cura in 3d printing and RD work for laser cut
