Final Project Proposal
Project Ideation
1- Tell us about the purpose of your project. Which problem does it solve? Why do you care about this? What were you inspired by? Include images and videos of similar projects
the main cause of my project is to make a simple animation that is permanent and the user could say and play it anytime or sequential photos that make video without using a mobile or tablet for this to watch it ( so the idea is combining between the old animation technique that is drawing the frames on paper and the technology that it shows that frames with a little technological way using Arduino and motors to perform the movement instead of human hands to show it ( so this is a mix between art, animation ( sequential video images ) and technology that it brings fun to the animation lover, animation maker or anyone because no one hates animation or videos I guess and anyone could use it to express anything he wants to say without talking but the kit will take this mission >_<).
the idea of my project is to make a flipbook kit (nickname: JUPITER) but with some technology and I will put inside it a wheel that makes the paper rotative by support from a motor to control the movement so: :
it will have an RGB led to control the light depending on the mood of the paintings (frames) as an output that controlled its color through a potentiometer in manual and automatic mode and will turn on through an on/off switch to show that the kit is turned on
it will have an ultrasonic sensor to make the kit flip ( the motor rotate) when someone is close to it and will be controlled by the user through a slide switch when switching it to automatic mode
an on/off switch which control the motor ( when switching the slide to manual mode)
it will have a DC motor to control the rotative frames( paintings) movement
it will have an Arduino

2- Describe the project idea and general features. How would it work?
the project idea is a flipbook kit basically for showing motion or one of the animation techniques by putting pictures ( frames ) in a sequential way that move at the specific speed that trick the human eye that it is a video, not sequential pictures ( frames)
- the main concept of it will be a kit that has a rotative kit inside that hold a lot of pictures in a sequential way to make a movement of any motion and that rotative motion controlled by a motor that turns on/off by permission from the user through an on/off switch
also will have a motor, Arduino, RGB led, ultrasonic sensor, and an on/off switches turn it on/off another one to turn the manual mode on and another one to switch between automatic and manual modes.
it maybe will have access to my phone through a mobile app (a mobile app to control the whole movement speed mainly )
the features that the kit will have:
Sensing: the kit will have an ultrasonic sensor to make the kit flip when someone is close to it and will be controlled by the user when turning the slide switch to automatic mode.
Tactile Inputs: The kit is controlled by the user by an on/off switch in it to turn it on/off the manual mode and maybe a mobile app to control the whole motion speed of the cards ( frames) ( it will also have a slide switch to change between modes) and all of that will open through an on/off switch to show that the is turned on.
physical Action: the kit has a motor that moving the cards in a rotative way
Brain and power management: it will have an Arduino board that controls the actions that the kit will make and a (9v) adaptor to power the motor as power management.

3- Sketch your project: You may use pen and paper or a simple sketching tool like Microsoft Paint or Photoshop
that is a quick sketch with a description of the features and inputs for the flipbook kit with some technology
Project Planning
4- Describe the Technical Modules that your project consists of
Construction Parts
the kit will be designed as 3D parts through fusion 360 software and printed by laser cutting and 3d printing machines.
Input
(Sensing, Tactile Input, and/or Graphical Input)
the kit will take input from the user when pushing the button to start and continue the movement.
-it will have an ultrasonic sensor to make the kit flip when someone is close to it
Action
(Physical and/or Graphic)
basic mode: the kit will have a motor that controls the movement of the rotative cards that will show it and will have an on/off switch to turn it on/off. ( and this is the manual mode)
( the automatic mode: will make the motor rotate when someone is close to the kit through an ultrasonic sensor ) ( i will switch between the automatic and manual mode through a slide switch)
Brain
an Arduino will be used to take inputs and generate actions
Power Management
the kit will be powered using a 9V adaptor to have a continuous power source for the dc motor that doesn't run out
5- Create a cardboard prototype of your project, demonstrating the project face as well as internal movements and mechanisms. Include a demo video and photos of the prototype.
note: the cards will move more professionally and faster at a specific speed than this to trick the human eye that it is a video, not sequential photos

6- Categorize your project’s User Features into: Minimum, Complete, and Nice-to-have features. List the required action and input components per feature.
Minimum Features: are the least amount of features that would demonstrate the coverage of all the technical modules and their complete integration
Complete Features: are the set of features that will complete your original project objective and vision
Nice-to-have Features: are the extra set of features that will make the project cooler, yet they need extra time, effort, and/or resources to finish
Minimum User Features
Example: a flipbook kit that will have a rotative kit that holds cards in it each card have a frame ( cards) and its job to show it by a slide switch when its on manual mode do this when also giving an order through an on/off switch
(manual mode)
Action: making the cards move by the motor controlled by the user
Sensing:
User Input: giving an order to the kit to allow the cards to rotate by an on/off switch in it to start or stop
(automatic mode)
...it will have an ultrasonic sensor to make the kit flip through the motor when someone is close to it and it will be controlled by a slide switch when it's on automatic mode do this...
Action: flip the cards when someone is close to the kit
Sensing: have an ultrasonic sensor
User Input:
....
....
Complete User Features
..... the kit will have an RGB led light to make an extra effect when seeing the cards (it also depends on the mood of the painting or animation ( it will also have access through the slide switch whether it's on manual mode or automatic mode )
Action: show some light on cards to give some phantasy
Sensing:
User Input: will have access from the user to change the light depending on the mood of the cards animation story or movement through the potentiometer controlled by the user and will open through an on/off switch to show that the kit is turned on
....
Action:
Sensing:
User Input:
....
....
Nice-to-have User Features
.... mobile app that controls the speed / turns the kit on/off, pause or continue
Action: turns on / off, continue, stop or control the speed amount
Sensing:
User Input: control all of that through a mobile app
