It's a Phone Holder and pen holder, also! :D
I have searched in google and 3axis and Thingiverse, and I decided to make this cute phone holder and pen holder too to be 2*1.
Software: Autodesk Fusion 360
Machine: El Malky ML1390 CO2 Laser Cutter
Laser Work
Materials:
-3mm Plywood.
To design my model I used fusion 360. I had sketched the side and copied it and the back and copied it and the base alone and tried to make it fully defined ( i really suffered from this :') ).
- Extruded every side by a distance of 3.0 mm.
- Collect every side in one project
- Joint the 5 parts together.
- Saved the files as.DXF.
- Imported the files in Laser works.
- Saved the files as .rd.
Parameters:
Speed 10
Power 60%
I used the laser cutter machine, and I used the manual to make sure that I am not doing something wrong.
- Insert the file into the machine as mentioned in the manual.
- Checked the sheet and set the origin and adjusted the focus.
- Tested that by making a pulse in the sheet and it is good to turn to the next step.
- Tracked the file then Run the machine to cut the model.
I asked for feedback from Esraa on how to make the sketch fully defined because I had trouble doing this.
- Also, I asked Salma and Farida how to make the nose of the elephant and keep the sketch fully defined.
- They suggested to me to make arcs using ellipse instead of arcs directly.
- I helped Ahmed Waleed choose his time slot to fabricate his models on doodle.
I faced a lot of challenges like how to make every single line fully defined and it take from me a while, I figure that it's about dimensions from line to line, and started with a shape centered on the origin.
I think the challenges that I faced while designing will help me a lot in designing my Rc car in the final project.
The coolest thing I had learned this week was how to join parts together by joint and render my model and see it in the final shape.
