The assignment for 5th week :
Designing, simulating and building a simple electronic device that performs two actions
I applied all process as the following with a consideration of instructions:
Problem Statement:
It is painful for the old women to drag the basket especially if it is heavy, also it is the core idea of my second proposal, review the full proposal:
Ideation:
Controlling sending the basket ups and downs via DC motor 2 directions connection.
H bridge connection is the core of the solution. I followed the know how connection/ DC motor of the following tutorial link:
Software/Tools/ materials has been required for the project as the following:
Design Software (an electric circuits & simulation) : TinkerCAD
Modeling Material:
Card Board - Canson- Paper
Tools:
Ruler- Super Glue-Cutter - Compass-Pencil-Tape - Hot Melt Clue Gun.
Components:
1 Mini DC Gearbox Motor- LED 5mm (Red ) - Resistor 220 ohm - 4 Press Push button - Bid & Small Breadboards - Plug wires - On/OFF Switch - 2 crocodiles - Power supply 5V- Power Connector.
I designed the circuit depending on the H-Bridge concept to control the motor direction and added the LED and its Resistor on series. but coudn't simulate it because it is depending on Pushbuttons on the Tinker Cad.
Selecting the component on Tinker-Cad. and putting 4 pushbuttons to the mini breadboard.(control panel)
2.connect the power supply (5V), red (Postive) &Black (Nigative) to the breadboard reals (+/-).
3. connect the buttons in the down row to Cathode of the main breadboard.(Black Wires)
4. connect the buttons in the Up row to Anode of the main breadboard. (Red Wires)
5. connect every buttons two pushbuttons together (one from the up row with the other down row) - use green wires.
6. Connect the DC motor between the last connection (green Wires) between motors- use yellow wires for the Motor.
7.Then add the LED lights with the wires to can be fixed later in the cardboard, Anode side with the positive direction, between one of pushbuttons connection and the Cathode side with the negative direction is connected to a resistor.
I prototyped an external Balcony by card boards and basket to simulate the working of the device.
preparing a suitable cardboard sheet to fix the motor o
made a basket by Canson paper and linked it with the motor by threated -revolved into the fixed wheel on the motor.
Using a steak and pen cover to fix the DC motor on the cardboard slot.
connections as TinkerCad.
housing the component inside the box and fix the LED light, Switch and The powersupply.
trial after housing.
Device Mechanism.
Switch and The power supply fixed side.
the End!
challenge was this week in Offline Session, when we tried to engrave our names and our team nickname, laser machine did not apply the scan of some letters!!
Super Instructor gave the Solution!
"Amany" the instructor rechecked the file and caught the reason, the letters didn't be applied were duplicated, she removed the extra copies, then deleted the applied letters, then re-downloaded the file to the machine, it was very important not to move the part from the machine before re-scanning!.
I can use the same circuit for the 2nd project (Mongiz), but I wish to use only one button for up/down Mongiz, pressing 2 pushbuttons through wires is confusing little bit.
3ARKAAA!!!
offline session this weak was very amazing, I never thought that all can be don in only 3 hours + enjoying of fighting with others cars groups!!!
Our team (3ARKAAA) was the most cool look, plus the catchy name we added the Pirates flag!
we were very confident but we lose the last round!. actually the first round we won without touching (Hados 3aliko) team thier car insisted to move around its self and run a way hahahaha.
Mai face emojis was Wow herself also!
