the idea of the assignment this week design phone holder in fusion 360.
when i know this assignment i start search in the google and i found this design which inspired me to design a similar design but can use it with my Tablet.

I using laser work to preparing design and select the speed and the power for cutting and scanning and also to convert the dxf file to be rld file.

sketching
bottom shape
1-i draw a center rectangle on the origin to be fully defined with dimension (200*75) to help me put a tablet .
2-i will put in the bottom 5 symmetric rectangles so i start to draw 5 small rectangle with dimension (3.2*15) and mirror this rectangles
3- start to draw 5 circle with diameter 3.2 between press fits rectangles.
main shape
this shape is the main shape because i copy this shapes 5 times.
1-i draw a vertical line with dimension (96mm)
2-i draw a horizontal line with same dimension of the bottom shape (75mm)
3-in the horizontal line i draw a 2 rectangle with dimension (3.2*15) to join by press fit with the bottom shape .
4- i draw a t-slot to join with bottom by screw and nuts.
5-i the back of the main shape i draw two small rectangle inside the main shape with dimension (3*4) to connect with back shape .
6-finally i use conic curve to connect between the vertical and horizontal line.
back shape
the back shape is the easiest shape because i draw rectangle with dimension (136*10mm) and start to draw inside the shape slots to press fit in the main shape these slots the same dimension which put in the back of the main shape.
Extruding
1- before extrude i copy the main shape 4 times and the back shape 1 time
2- choose the extrude icon
3-select the bottom shape and give it 3mm thickness then i do these step with all shapes .
Assembling
1-choose the joint assembly icon.
2-choose the rectangle in the bottom shape and the same rectangle in the main shape to joint with them .
3-make the same steps with 5 parts of main shape and bottom shape
4- select the slot in the back shape and same slot in the back of the main shape to joint with them .
5-make the same thing with another back shape
6-now all parts are assembled successfully.
Save as DXF
choose the sketch 1.
right click and choose save as DXF.
Do these steps with all parts.

laser work :
import DXF files to Laser Work.
move parts close to each other to the corner of the sheet to take the best benefit from the sheet .
adjust the speed and power to all of the parts to cut it.(speed 30,power 70)
save file as .rld
laser cutter :
i put my RLD file to laser cutter computer
give name to the file and click download
Adjust focus
choose the file in the machine
track the frame
run the process
the process take 4min.
finally i connect all parts of the mobile holder and start to test it in the tablet and phone and mission accomplished, yaaaah.

when i try connect between back shape and main shapes shapes doesn't connect so i use sanding to remove some wood and after sanding the two parts are connecting.

i learned many skills will benefit me in the final project some of it :
1- i learned how i improved my inspiration to be a medium fidelity
2- I learned how to use srcews and nuts that prove it is more stable by experience and I will use it in my final project
