Ideation
Mobile holder
I was inspired by these two designs, and I tried to combine them in my design

I am very impressed with Attack on Titan
Therefore, I decided to design the mobile holder with the Wings of Freedom logo, because it is considered the icon of the novel.

Design/Preparation Process
I downloaded an image file from a website and then inserted it into Adobe Illustrator to save it as an svg.
I inserted the file into Fusion 360
Then I uploaded the real mobile dimensions and started drawing on the program
I started by drawing the outline of the design according to the specified sizes, then I inserted the image inside the design
Then I began to draw the positions of the holes through which the nail and the protruding parts of the wood would pass,
And with that, we have finished the front part of the mobile holder.
I started by drawing the back part on which the mobile holder will rest
It is a rectangle with two prominent parts that will cross from the other piece
And in the middle I draw the position where the nail will rest
I gave a thickness to the two shapes together and put them together, each part in its place
To finally give me the complete design.
After I saved the DXF file, I inserted it into Corel Draw to erase some extra lines and modify the internal drawing of the design and to avoid overlapping the lines when drilling
Then I inserted the file into the Laser Work program to determine the cutting and drilling positions, and to control the speed and power.
Thus, the file is ready to be sent to the laser cutting machine
Development/Implementation Process
I sent the file after modification from the Laser Work program to the machine and named it my name
Then I moved to the machine screen
And the machine was already running
I searched for my file and gave the command to start and it took about three and a half minutes and it was finished cutting the design.
Overcoming Challenges

The first challenge I faced was when I tried to insert the two pieces inside each other and put them together
And I discovered that the back piece on which the holder is rested and the mobile is placed, is a little big
It cannot be inserted into the slots designated for it.
So I used a cutter + scissors + sandpaper
To remove the extra millimeters, I made it equal with the second piece in width.
And then it was easily installed.

I used Duco paint pens to color wood.

When I went to the lab and presented the design to Eng. Amany, who drew my attention to the fact that the design would change when the machine was digging due to the overlapping of lines and graphics inside it.
And she advised me to use Corel Draw and erase some Lines from the design and change it a little.
Also, Eng.Ahmed ibarahim had advised me to use that program in advance when I presented the design to him in a Saturday session in the lab.

The coolest thing about me is that I made my favorite logo into something physical that I will use and it remains an art cat in front of me most of the time.
