The primary goal of this course is to give you opportunities to explore robotics topics that will help you better understand how robots function. You'll be exploring ideas related to building, coding, sensing, and controlling a robot to do various tasks. Some tasks will be assigned by your teacher, but many will be self-directed based on your current interests.
This course will mostly utilize the VEX robotics systems, but there are resources for Arduino (Microcontrollers) and Raspberry Pi (Microcomputers) as well. If interested in exploring these options, please let your teacher know.
Most students will be placed in groups to complete tasks.
Please create a new Engineering Journal for this course and share it with any members of your team as well as with your teacher. As you pick/work on a project, update the journal daily.
Engineering Journal should include
Dates
Daily Summary
Pictures/illustrations
idea sketches
drawings of challenges
pictures of progress
Detailed steps
Math
Pseudocode & logical reasoning
Programming code (this may save you if you lose your code for some reason)
