Our January guidance lesson provided some coping strategies for dealing with change. Students learned the difference between stuck thinking and flexible thinking, as a way to understand how feelings and thoughts are connected. Watch the video below to learn about different ways to handle change.

November's Lesson was about Learning Styles: Knowing your personal learning style helps you understand yourself better!
In October, we talked about BIG EMOTIONS and learned some strategies for what to do when we start to lose control. Students watched a Pixar short that demonstrated negative feelings taking over, but learned that there are ways to shrink our feelings to make them more manageable. We read "Back to Zero" by Dr. Joy and reviewed 10 simple tools to manage our emotions. Students can extend their learning by watching the Rocket Kids video about emotions, and learning how to make an intensity scale for feelings.
