One Step at a Time Thyripy services
During the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to give time to One Step at a Time Therapy Services. Through this internship/volunteer work, I was responsible for finding the exact address of the patient's house from the supervisor verification form, contacting the parents of the patients from the supervisor verification form, and helping in any way needed for the physical therapy from the supervisor verification form.
During the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to give time to One Step at a Time Therapy Services. Through this internship/volunteer work, I was responsible for finding the exact address of the patient's house from the supervisor verification form, contacting the parents of the patients from the supervisor verification form, and helping in any way needed for the physical therapy from the supervisor verification form.
THE EXPERIENC\E
Throughout the experience, I gained skills in a social aspect by having to contact parents and or patients directly as an introvert although difficult was a great experience for the communication I will need to show later in life. I also gained more patience and empathy when doing physical therapy sometimes all the kids needed was a smile and some extra help which I was happy to give and wait as long as they needed. My knowledge in physical therapy and stretching exercises also greatly expanded as I got a lot of practice.
